RBC Learn to Play Project provides $750,000 in funding

The goal of the RBC Learn to Play Project is to promote sport and physical activities for young Canadians, with an emphasis on teaching fundamental movement skills and physical literacy.

In the first year, RBC will hand out a total of $750,000 in grants ranging from $1,000 to $25,000 to organizations, initiatives and communities.

Organizations wishing to receive a grant are asked to submit a funding request in February 2014.

Through this initiative, which is being carried out in partnership with ParticipACTION, RBC is committed to:

  • Providing grants to community organizations with physical-literacy-based programs
  • Supporting activities that promote play
  • Supporting RBC employees who coach or volunteer with youth sport organizations.
